Claire is one of Northern Ireland's most experienced lower-limb specialists. She graduated from Queen's University Belfast in 2001 with an Honours degree in Podiatric Medicine, and in 2006 became the first podiatrist in Northern Ireland to be appointed as an Advanced Practitioner / Extended Scope Podiatrist within an NHS Orthopaedic Assessment and Treatment Service — assessing, diagnosing and treating complex foot and ankle conditions, referring for advanced imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT and ultrasound) and working directly alongside orthopaedic consultants.
She is one of only three podiatrists on the island of Ireland to have completed postgraduate training to become CASE accredited in medical diagnostic ultrasound of the lower limb — knee, foot and ankle — allowing her to both diagnose and guide treatment with real-time imaging. Claire specialises in MSK conditions, gait analysis, and specialist orthotics and bracing, including the Richie Brace. Her treatment expertise spans foot and ankle mobilisation and manipulation, acupuncture, taping, corticosteroid and hyaluronic acid (viscosupplementation) injections, and shockwave therapy.
